What messages are sent on my behalf from the application?

Last Updated: Apr 03, 2018 11:39PM CDT
During the installation process the application asks for permissions to post to Facebook on your behalf.  These permissions are required in order for the application to send out the following posts:

Donation made on your behalf - Automatic Update Postings
  • If a donation is made on your behalf, the application will automatically create a post on your Timeline sharing your progress. At most, our app will only create such a post once in a 24-hour period.
Scheduled Posts
  • You have the option of scheduling posts to go out on your behalf at a number of different dates or milestones. These can be easily configured with the "Schedule Posts Now!" feature at any time.
Donate Profile Picture or Cover Photo
  • When you click to donate your profile picture or cover photo, your event program’s picture is uploaded to a photo album. Once you take this action, an automatic post will appear on your Timeline page letting your friends know about your fundraising activity. You can then promote that photo to your profile picture or cover photo just like you would for any other photo.
It is important to note that the app can only create these automated posts if you allow the app to “post on your behalf.” This permission may be granted during the installation of the application, and may be edited later in your Facebook settings. If you disable automated posts, you can only create fundraising posts manually.
